Quality Assurance

We define quality by accuracy and efficiency—accuracy of radiologic interpretations and efficiency expediting time to diagnosis and treatment. The two elements together enhance patient care. This is done through:

Subspecialty radiologists
Research shows that subspecialty radiologists and the rapid delivery of radiology interpretations improves patient care and lowers healthcare costs. The 50 local NYRA radiologists have access to a national network of more than 400 radiologists, of which 75 percent are fellowship-trained. This, combined with proprietary order-routing software that automatically seeks the best-suited subspecialist for the right read the first time, allows you to avoid delays in patient care and increase patient throughput—and ultimately increasing patient and physician satisfaction.

Rapid average emergent turnaround times
Speed matters in improving patient outcomes. In addition to slowing patient flow in the ED, delayed radiology results can reduce the quality of patient care.  

Quality Assurance Program

The Quality Assurance Committee oversees the entire process to ensure interpretation accuracy and reliability. 

The QA Committee follows protocol under direction of our chief medical officer. Any discrepancy is reviewed by at least one QA Committee member. A member of the committee provides written or verbal followup with the client, if requested.
